You roam far, carry much, and need no one's approval.
Congratulations, you magnificent, slightly unhinged wanderer. The albatross has claimed you, and honestly, it tracks.
Albatrosses spend the majority of their lives in the air, sometimes logging millions of miles over the ocean without ever really needing to touch down. Sound familiar? You are someone who thrives in motion, in the open expanse, in the sheer freedom of not being tied to any one place, person, or obligation. Roots are fine for other people. You prefer wingspan.
Here is the part where things get a little uncomfortably accurate. You are incredible in the long haul and genuinely terrible at the small stuff. Returning texts in a timely manner, remembering that your friend had a dentist appointment, showing up to things that require you to be somewhere specific at a very specific time: not really your strong suit. You operate on a grander scale, and the details are frankly beneath you. Or at least that is what you tell yourself.
Socially, you are deeply loyal to a very small circle. Albatrosses mate for life, and you have a similar energy. Once someone earns your actual trust, they have it forever. The bar to get there is just, let us say, ambitious. Most people are acquaintances you find mildly interesting. A select few are your whole world. There is no in between.
People find you effortlessly cool in a way that is genuinely annoying to everyone around you. You are not trying to be mysterious. You just have places to be and oceans to cross and very little patience for small talk about the weather.
The albatross is one of the most impressive creatures on earth, built for distances most birds cannot even imagine. You are exactly the same. Just maybe answer your phone occasionally.
