What Kind of Bird are You?

Birds are basically personalities with wings — and yours is showing. Whether you're a chaos gremlin or a wise observer, there's a bird out there living your exact life.

About this Quiz

Every person is, deep down, a little bit of a bird. Some are majestic. Some steal fries off unattended tables. Both are valid.

Consider the range. There's the pigeon, unbothered and eternal, thriving in conditions that would break lesser creatures. There's the swan, gliding along like it invented grace, paddling like a maniac just beneath the surface. Somewhere out there is a crow doing something clever and vaguely criminal. And then there's the little brown finch nobody notices until it opens its mouth and turns out to be the best singer on the block.

The question is which one is you.

What Kind of Bird are You?

This quiz sorts it out with a series of scenarios ranging from the mundane to the mildly confrontational. Saturday plans are involved. So is the eternal party problem: one familiar face, a room full of strangers, and roughly forty seconds to decide whether to work the crowd or find the nearest wall to lean against. Some birds swoop. Some birds observe from a safe branch. There is no wrong answer, only the answer that will follow you around forever.

There are also questions about routine, because birds have opinions about routine. Some migrate on a schedule so precise it's frankly show-offy. Others just live wherever the food is. Conflict comes up too. The natural world contains both the dove and the goose, and only one of those will chase a grown adult across a parking lot.

Honesty is required for the flaw question. Everyone has one. The magpie hoards. The peacock cannot pass a reflective surface. Pick the one that actually stings a little and the results improve dramatically.

Nine questions. One bird. A small amount of feral energy, which the tagline already warned about, so nobody can say they weren't told.

Wings not included. Attitude very much is. Go find out which feathered menace has been living inside you this whole time.
